Noah MacKenzie’s work deals with the experience of the absurd in the 21st century, particularly as encountered in Florida. Primarily working in ceramics, drawing and painting, he creates these pieces to depict and explore subjects such as the flora and fauna of Florida, the language and aesthetics of billboards, Southern speech, and randomness. Noah’s paintings range from still life to abstract and generally reflect the spontaneity of the moment of creation. Noah obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Flagler College in 2019, primarily focusing on painting, drawing, video work, and ceramics. Along with his partner Sasha, he founded Juice Ceramics in 2020, a Florida-based contemporary homewares company that produces functional art pieces.
